Keys to Investigative Success
Hear from law enforcement clients about how they’ve used GeoTime to help solve cases, communicate actionable data to investigators, and present confidently to prosecutors and in the courtroom.

Data in Action
Analysts and investigators at Toronto Police Services use GeoTime to deal with data overload. Now, they watch call record data in action and replay history to drive investigations forward.

Maximize Investigative Capabilities
GeoTime translates data into graphic visualizations that are easy to understand. At California Fusion Center, one analyst completed the work of three, and found evidence to link crimes across the country.

Testimonials
“I use GeoTime almost every day. It is a tool that no department should be without.”
Craig Giacometti
Detective
Livermore Police Department
“A Bay Area homicide unit had a gang-motivated double-murder case from 2016 that went to trial in 2018. Despite having very little time to do the analysis, GeoTime made it relatively painless. The end result was a clean and easy-to-understand presentation that clearly showed the suspects movements prior, during, and after the crime. Importantly, the suspect’s CDR corroborated witness testimony regarding the suspects movements. Someone later spoke to the jury after the trial ended and they cited the CDR analysis presentation as compelling evidence. So I have to thank Uncharted for the great product they make!”

“GeoTime takes the daunting workload of traditional phone record analysis and makes it quick, efficient, accurate and useful in ANY investigation.”

“On what would have been an otherwise challenging set of data to work with on my own, Casey graciously worked with me to explain the mechanics of several tools in the new software release that made my job a lot easier. Casey was extremely patient with me and even called to walk me thru one of the pattern tools. At this point in my career I have had the opportunity to work with numerous vendors who promise all kinds of support at the sales pitch only to be disappointed once the purchase has been made. I can say, without hesitation, that your customer service is stellar! Whenever I have needed anything, your team has been there to assist me and the response time has always been so fast. While you guys obviously have a wonderful product on your hands, you should know that your outstanding customer support is what I drive home to other agencies when they are contemplating purchasing a mapping product.”

“GeoTime has helped improve our analysts’ ability to tell the story of criminals and the cellular devices they use. Before we had GeoTime, it would take days to develop the visual presentations that law enforcement, juries and the courts could understand. GeoTime has made us more efficient and effective.”
Mike Sena

“With the violent nature of this particular case, the actionable intelligence provided by the CRT Glimpse Tool was pivotal in narrowing the search for the suspect vehicle.”
Jason White
Homicide Detective
Tulsa Police Department
“GeoTime was essential to mapping out all the phone data and demonstrating that each suspect had the same movement pattern, proving they all arrived at the vicinity of the crime scene. Specifically, the link analysis feature was able to prove that some suspects communicated with one another leading up to each burglary and that all suspects were either directly or indirectly linked to each other. This demonstrated to the jury that there was intent and conspiracy.”
Mark Inaba
Deputy District Attorney
Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office
“Call detail records include a lot of information about calls, cell towers, locations, and content, so explaining to the Court is difficult and often even boring. With GeoTime, visualizing every data point has made it easy to get the attention of the Court, greatly improving the comprehension and the value of technical facts.”

“GeoTime is an asset to any size department because of the high quality video that is made from importing call detail records into the software. It’s a very powerful presentation. It has an impact on the jury. With GeoTime, I can show the defendants at all times: before, during and after the homicide.”
Joseph Coffman

“It’s as close to reliving the event as you can get.”
Dave Weloth

“We can see if multiple cell phones meet before or after a crime to, say, deliver or hand off a weapon. We can also display all this movement in a video that dramatically increases viewers’ understanding of what they are looking at.”
Toni Nunez
Senior Lead Analyst

“When the data [is put into the 3D software] and fits with the prosecution’s case and doesn’t fit with the defendant’s alibi, it’s a powerful weapon in the conviction process.”
Ryan Volkmer

“Thank you for a great session. It was very informative and adapted perfectly to meet the needs of our organisation. The case studies were highly valuable. I look forward to using GeoTime on upcoming jobs. Thank You.”

“We are currently testing cellphone software for 4 different companies, but I find that GeoTime is my go-to. So this was my first time using it on a case that I’d never worked. The import was very fast and within a few minutes I found that the person was at our crime location on the date/time in question. Mike was right about learning the system. It wasn’t intuitive at first but now I don’t have to think about the steps, they come naturally. It has so many advantages over my old way of doing the same tasks.”
Lorie Velarde

“I’ve found GeoTime to be very useful over just using ArcMap, GRASS and R, which are the more traditional means of analyzing movements. I still need those other programs to do my work and produce stats/results, but GeoTime allows me to quickly identify periods of different activity/behavior”
